No paddles, fins or other assistance aids are permitted.
Swimmers must be present at pre-race briefings which are held 15 minutes prior to the start of each race.
Any competitor who appears incapable of completing the race at any stage may be withdrawn by the Event Director or Water Safety Officials either prior to or during the race.
Competitors must start the race within the assigned areas.
Purposely obstructing other competitors in the race is prohibited and doing so will result in disqualification.
Competitors must swim around buoys as instructed in the pre-race briefing. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
Competitors must report to the finish line even if they do not start the race or fail to complete the course.
It is a requirement of entry that all participants acknowledge and accept a waiver document. Under 12's must have a parent or guardian present on the shore for the duration of their event.
