Choosing to take part in three or more distance swims in one summer will automatically be deemed part of the Series Competition.
The points from your best three results will be added together and those swimmers with the highest points total at the end of the Series will be awarded in their respective age group.
The age category that a Series participant is automatically entered into will be determined by their age as at 24 November 2018 (ie the date of the first event of the Series).

RACE START TIME:
A compulsory pre-race briefing will be held at 8.45am.
MEDAL PRESENTATIONS IMMEDIATELY FOLLOW COMPLETION OF 2KM EVENT
500 METRE SWIM:
This swim will start on the left hand side of the course near the lighthouse. Swimmers will head towards the 1st buoy situated at 250 metre mark, swimming clockwise around the buoy keeping it on their right and return to the start/ finish line to complete the swim.
All age categories including under 12's as long as a parent or guardian is present on the shore.
1 KILOMETRE SWIM:
Swimmers will leave the beach and swim towards the 1st buoy situated at the 250 metre mark keeping the buoy on their right side proceed to 2nd buoy at the 500 metre mark keeping it on your right side swim around it in a clockwise direction.
Swimmers will then return towards the 1st buoy swimming around the buoy this time in an anti clockwise direction so keeping it on their left side then swimming back to the start/finish line to complete their swim.
2 KILOMETRE SWIM:
Swimmers will leave the beach and swim towards the 1st buoy situated at 250 metre mark and keeping the buoy on their right proceed to the 2nd buoy situated at the 500 metre mark keeping buoy on their right side.
Swimmers will proceed towards the 3rd buoy at the 750m metre mark keeping the buoy on their right and then proceed to the 4th buoy at the 1 kilometre mark and swim around this buoy in a clockwise direction.
Swimmers will then proceed past the buoys at the 750 metre and 500 metre mark keeping each of them on their right and then proceed to the 1st buoy at 250 metre mark ensuring they swim around this buoy in an anti-clockwise direction keeping it on their left hand side.
Swimmers will then head back to the start/finish line to complete their swim.
